After successfully completing its mission of serving pilgrims on the Karma Ali route during the Arba'een of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), University of Basrah continued its humanitarian mission by launching its first convoy to support the processions at the Shalamcheh border crossing, in a scene that embodies the values ​​of giving, solidarity, and altruism.

The convoy included students from the College of Agriculture, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, and the College of Education for Pure Sciences. It carried water, food supplies, ice, and various other essential items to support the processions and serve the esteemed pilgrims arriving through the Shalamcheh border crossing on their way to the holy city of Karbala.

The President of University of Basrah, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, stated that the university is dispatching its first convoy to support the processions commemorating Imam Hussein and to serve pilgrims arriving from the Shalamcheh border crossing. This support includes providing water, food, ice, and all necessary supplies for the pilgrims, stemming from the university's humanitarian and national responsibility to serve the visitors of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

He added that University of Basrah will continue to dedicate its resources and capabilities to serving the pilgrims, believing that participating in the success of the Arba'een pilgrimage is a humanitarian and national duty that embodies the values ​​of generosity, giving, and solidarity.
