Visit the Children's Specialist Hospital
The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Basra organized a visit to the Children’s Specialized Hospital as a voluntary, social and humanitarian initiative to closely learn about the conditions of children with cancer and to stand by them
The visit included a tour of the hospital corridors and presenting some in-kind gifts and games to the sleeping children. The hospital director, Dr. Osama Omar Youssef, and the administrative assistant, Mr. Abbas Abdel-Zahra, were received. During the visit, they discussed the role of modern computer programs in helping doctors to treat patients and how to find joint cooperation between The college and the hospital in order to develop the medical reality in hospitals.
The visit concluded with the praise of the doctors and hospital staff for this noble humanitarian initiative, which is one of the important visits to provide moral support to these children and encourage them to overcome this disease and recover.
An inspection visit to the nursing homeBased on the principle of honoring parents and caring for the elderly, a religious and social duty, the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, and under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Dr. By a group of its righteous professors to check on the conditions of the elderly and take care of their needs, a number of tables were donated for the safety of all.

The State House for the Care of the Buds was visited by a number of students and accompanied by a number of teachers to inspect the orphaned children present in the house, while taking in-kind donations and gifts to bring joy and pleasure to this important and emerging segment of society.

The course saw outstanding participation from students and college staff interested in developing their computer skills. The course was presented by Rabab Hassan Sabr, Head of the College's Information Technology Division, in an interactive manner. She combined theory with practical application, helping participants acquire practical skills that can be directly applied in their future studies and work.
