The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah organized a scientific seminar entitled "Drug Addiction and its Psychological and Health Effects."

The seminar, presented by lecturers Noor Katea Abbas and Iman Qasim Dawood, addressed the dangers of narcotics and their negative impact on physical and mental health. The lecturers emphasized the role of community awareness in protecting youth from this widespread phenomenon.

The seminar recommended the necessity of concerted efforts by universities, educational institutions, and the local community to reduce this phenomenon and promote health and psychological awareness among young people, in order to ensure a safe and stable educational and social environment.
