The College of Computer Science and Information Technology, represented by its Dean, Prof.Dr. Hisham Kadhum Hashim, received Prof.Dr. Hadi Salman Abbas, Dean of the College of Science at Shatt al-Arab University, and Assistant Professor Ali Kadhum Matar, Head of the Computer Science Department at the same college. This visit was part of the activation and strengthening of the memorandum of understanding signed between Shatt al-Arab University and University of Basrah.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed mechanisms for strengthening scientific and academic cooperation, through joint supervision of undergraduate and graduate studies, the exchange of teaching and research expertise, and the opening of horizons for cooperation in organizing scientific activities, such as conferences, seminars, and workshops.
This visit comes within the context of the two universities' commitment to strengthening academic partnerships and developing joint programs that will enhance the level of education and scientific research, and support young scientific talents to serve society and meet the demands of the labor market.
