The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah participated in the university's procession at the Shalamcheh border crossing to serve pilgrims arriving from the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). This participation came within the framework of the reverse convoy service, which aims to organize the return of pilgrims and facilitate their passage across the border in an orderly and safe manner.
The college, through its professors and staff, contributed various forms of support and services, both organizationally and advisory-wise, in addition to assisting in managing the movement of pilgrims and providing a suitable environment that contributed to the smooth flow of the convoy service. Participation was also characterized by a spirit of volunteerism and cooperation among all involved in serving this blessed million-person march. These efforts are in line with University of Basrah's mission to enhance its societal and humanitarian role and to consolidate the values of giving that embody the principles of the revolution of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him. The university and its colleges are committed to being an active part of serving visitors and commemorating this momentous occasion.
