The College of Computer Science and Information Technology participated in the cultural week of the University of Basrah, which was hosted by Ferdowsi University / Mashhad in the Islamic Republic of Iran, where the cultural week was sponsored and chaired by the respected President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, The Iraqi delegation included the respected Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Dr. Salma Abdul-Baqi Mahmoud, the respected Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Falah Hassan Shari, officials of the Sports and Artistic Activities Unit at the university, a group of university professors and members of the administrative departments. The joint cultural week included scientific lectures in various disciplines from both the Iraqi and Iranian sides, and the opening of a library and a center for Arab studies in which professors from the University of Basra will lecture, five-a-side football matches, volleyball matches, plays, cultural sessions, and tours in the faculties and research centers of Ferdowsi University to see the progress of the scientific process in it. These meetings come as a result of joint cooperation between Iraqi universities and neighboring countries, in a way that enhances the scientific aspect and develops relations between the two countries.
